Mission Statement

Mom Imperfect's Mission Statement

1. I will share and be proud of my unique story.
One of my absolute favorite things to do in the world is to hear people's unique life stories. No matter how similar it may be to my own or to someone I know, it alone, is unique. So, why shouldn't I want to share my unique story? It may be similar to others, it may even mirror a few - but it is still unique. I still have something to share that may inspire someone.

2. I will write whenever I feel like it.
I'm not going to set a time schedule on when I will write. Perhaps I will post 7 days one week and only 1 the next. I'm a mom. My first job is to take care of my child(ren), my second is to be a loving and caring wife, and somewhere near the very bottom of the list is to be a blogger.

3. I will openly talk about all topics and share my opinion on those topics, but I will not participate in disrespectful debates.
I will put it out there right now that I'm not going to hide my opinion on certain topics, even if they are uncomfortable to talk about. First of all, I come from the belief that each person has a right to their own opinion. I also don't believe that my opinion is the be-all and end-all of all things. I am constantly learning and evolving and if someone has something new to teach me - I am all open ears. I simply request that opinion is shared with the utmost respect and the expectation that I still may not agree with you.

4. Any and all discussion(comments) must be respectful, kind and with understanding.
I will not tolerate any comment or discussion which is hateful, rude or otherwise demeaning. My goal with this blog is to allow myself the space to share my story, as well as others to share their's. However, everything must be respectfully stated and without anger or hate. Fiery discussions are acceptable, so long as they are respectful. I reserve the right to delete anything I personally deem inappropriate.

5. I will add to this mission statement as I feel fit.
This mission statement, like my blog, is forever evolving. I reserve the right to change, update, remove, or add any content I feel is necessary to make this blog successful and enjoyable to read.
